Here are the steps:
- First add authenticated accounts - Twitter and Facebook. See below on the details of how to do that. Repeat for as many accounts as you need.
- Go to Content and select items that you want to respond to.
- You may also create a task first and then respond to it.
- Just publishing? Go to Streams and post or schedule your posts. Just text, no attachments/images at this time.
- Private message (Direct messages on Twitter, Private message on Facebook) - see details below.
In order to add a Twitter account owned and managed by you, you first have to authenticate your Twitter account by following these steps as an admin user: From the homepage, click "Manage Accounts" under "Twitter Accounts". Click "Add Twitter Account" to get started. You'll be taken to twitter.com to finish the authentication process. Follow the steps to be returned back to the application.
Once your account has been added, you can start adding your Twitter accounts to your campaign. Edit your campaign and click "Add Twitter Account" then select the page of interest. Make sure you add the accounts you own under "Brand Intelligence".
In order to monitor an account of a competitor, you can type in the screen name of the account when you click "Add Twitter Account" under "Competitive Intelligence".
How do I add a Facebook fan page to a campaign?
In order to add a Facebook fan page owned and managed by you, you first have to authenticate your Facebook account by following these steps as an admin user: From the homepage, click "Manage Accounts" under "Facebook Accounts". Click "Add Facebook Account" to get started. You'll be taken to facebook.com to finish the authentication process. Follow the steps to be returned back to the application.
Once your account has been added, you can start adding your Facebook pages to your campaign. Edit your campaign and click "Add Facebook Page" then select the page of interest. Make sure you add the fan pages you own under "Brand Intelligence". From the Facebook account admin view, you can selectively choose the Facebook pages you wish to have displayed and available throughout the application. Click on "Manage Pages" for a given account to edit your selections. In order to monitor a fan page of a competitor, just type the Facebook page name - that's it.
What are delegates?
Delegation is a way for you to give controlled access to your employees/staff brand account(s) without giving them your login credentials. This allows them to post content to your social channels on your behalf. All posts via our built-in clients are logged and are available on request. Delegation is currently supported for Facebook and Twitter accounts. You can go to either the admin view for either service and then click on "Add Delegate(s)" next to the account. Start typing the name of the user who you want to give access to. Click the "Add Delegate(s)" button to give them access.
Can I post to multiple Facebook fan pages and/or multiple Twitter accounts?
Yes, we support the ability to manage multiple Facebook account/fan pages and Twitter accounts at the same. We have both a Twitter and a Facebook client built right into the app. You can access the clients from the top menu bar by hovering over "Streams" and then clicking either "Facebook" or "Twitter". Both clients also feature bit.ly URL shortening, bit.ly URL preview plus click insights, mini user profile previews, inline response (reply and retweets for Twitter and comments for Facebook) and much more.
Both clients support cross posting to multiple accounts/page walls. Simply highlight the accounts you want to post to simultaneously or "All" under the account selection box to select all of them. Compose your post, shorten any bit.ly links with the shortener provided below the compose and then click "Post" to submit. Access to each account can be given to employees without giving them the password to the accounts by way of delegation (explained below).
